How we handle personal data when you use Statero.

Last updated September 6, 2026

1. Who we are

Statero (“we”, “us”) operates the Statero console at statero.app and the API at api.statero.app. Authentication is provided by Clerk; billing integrations may include third parties such as RevenueCat.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use Statero, we may process:

  • Account data: email, name, and profile information from your sign-in provider (via Clerk)
  • App configuration: project names, API key prefixes, expected AI models, webhook settings
  • Usage events: user IDs you send, model names, token counts, features, timestamps, and derived cost metrics
  • Technical logs: IP addresses, request metadata, and error logs for security and reliability

3. How we use data

We use this data to:

  • Provide dashboards, metrics, and API responses
  • Secure accounts and prevent abuse
  • Improve the product and support customers
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your tracked AI events to train public models.

4. Your end users

You choose which user_id values to send. You are the data controller for your end users; Statero acts as a processor for the usage data you submit. Ensure you have a lawful basis and privacy notice for your users.

5. Retention & deletion

Account and project data is kept while your account is active. Deleting an app in Console → Settings → Danger zone revokes its API key; associated metrics may remain in storage for operational or backup periods before permanent deletion.

6. Security

API keys are stored hashed. Access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; use HTTPS and protect keys on your side.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
